DECAY Image Making Book
DECAY Imagemaking book created in Fall 2016 semester, with professor Jen McKnight at UMSL. Decay was my topic chosen for the book, after topic reviews from my fellow classmates. The book was created with imagery that was produced within sessions of the class including: sewing, ink, collage, mark-making with different mediums, spray paint, and photo-manipulation. Topics include: Movement Decay Aquatic Decay Bacterial Decay Blurry Decay Brain Decay Dandelion's Decay Deaths Decay Decay of Time Digital Decay Drug Decay Earths Decay Electric Decay Facial Decay Female Decay Flight Decay Geometric Decay Hell's Decay Photographic Decay Relationship Decay Self Decay Sexual Decay Shadows Decay Tooth Decay Typographic Decay Wars Decay Wavy Decay Outer binding of the book included ink and gold blended paper with ink markings/splatter. The logo is hand illustrated and is very rough to engage the idea of "decay." The physical exterior of the binding is meant to bring attention to its physical touch with texture.
