After partnering with Ballpark Village for The Longest Day on June 21, 2015, I was requested to make a design for the promotional flyer and rack cards for the event.
The design needed to stick to association branding guidelines with colors, images, and typefaces. A blend of purple, red, and light brown colors were needed within the piece. The promotional flyer needed to be 8.5x11' and the rack cards needed to be 11x8.5' with 3 on a page.
For the design I wanted to incorporate the idea of "baseball" with the baseball diamond in the center of the layout with a large title above. The title needed to be a very soft, inviting typeface, in which I used Mission Script. The background includes a soft aged paper texture to give viewers the interpretation of baseball turf. All of the photos used in the designs were from previous Longest Day events and were provided by the association.
